Village October 2015 Minutes

October 14, 2015

Present:  K. Maksimchuk, Gauthier, Seamon, Olk, Beauchamp, Burns, Wolford,  J. Maksimchuk arrived at 7:40 p.m.

Meeting called to order by Mayor Burns at 7:00p.m. With the Pledge of Allegiance.  Motion by Olk, support by Gauthier to accept the minutes, motion carried.  Motion by Olk, support by Beauchamp to accept the Treasurer’s Report, motion carried.

John Simpkins was present to ask Council to abandon alley along his property and make it just a utility easement.  Consensus of Street Commissioner and council was not to abandon any property.  Numerous Property owners in August Meadows subdivision were present to discuss road situation.  Village just received copy of deeds to 5 lots in the subdivision. A Special meeting will be considered.

Police and DPW Reports on file.

First Merit Bank was present to discuss direct deposit and payment options.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Gauthier to raise the mowing fees when property owners are in violation of weed Ordinance to $100 per hour plus all fees involved, including Clerk’s time, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Seamon to permanently set Halloween Trick or Treat hours from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. on October 31 every year, motion carried.

Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to have a Special Meeting on October 27th from 7-8 to discuss August Meadows 2 & 3 lots that the Village has recently obtained, motion carried.

Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Beauchamp to pay all the bills including the Consumer bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
