October DDA 2025 Minutes

NEW LOTHROP DDA MEETING MINUTES

                               OCTOBER 15, 2025

Present:  Pete Stewart, Mark Birchmeier, Kayla McCormic, Tammy Schiefer, Skip McCormic, Cindy Kinsey, Taylor Copes, Jody Greenwood, John Ryan-Attorney              Absent: Andrew Wolford

Meeting started: 6:30 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

Kayla made a motion to approve the September Meeting Minutes. Second by Cindy. All ayes, motion carried.

Pete made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report for September. Second by Taylor. All ayes, motion carried. 

Special Guests:  Stan Birchmeier – Asking the DDA to go in 50/50 with the village to replace water line, which would be an additional $25,000 ten what was budgeted. May consider updating the budget for next year for the Water Dept Upgrades from $25,000 to $50,000.  

Old Business:   None

New Business: Reminder that the CD’s are maturing on 11/15/2025. Pete made a motion to renew the CD’s for 6 months. Second by Mark. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried. 

Request to increase the funding for a project of the Facade Grant: Mark made a motion to increase the Facade Revitalization Grant from $1500 to $2500 (Maximum 50% of $5000) Second by Tammy. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried. Cindy requesting more lights in the park pavilion for Holly Jolly Eve, as it is too dark. Jody ask for a Handicap Parking Ramp on the blue painted lines to connect to the sidewalk. Jodywill take this to the next Village meeting.

Skip made a motion to pay the invoices. Second by Mark. All ayes, motion carried. 

Round Table: Skip asked for traffic control in the village limits on Halloween night for the safety of the trick-or-treaters. There will be Holly Jolly Eve Meetings held at the village hall on Wednesday, 10/22/2025, 10/29/2025 and 11/5/2025 at 6:00 for those that wish to help and be on the committee to make this a successful event.  Next month there will be a business meeting held prior to the NL DDA Meeting to elect the board positions.
