November Village 2025 Minutes
November 12, 2025
Present: Maksimchuk’s, Tate, Birchmeier, Olk, Ustishen, Gauthier, Wolford Absent: Besaw
Meeting called to order by President Andy Wolford at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Ustishen to accept the minutes, motion carried. Motion by Ustishen, support by Gauthier to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.
Police, DPW, Zoning, DDA Reports on file
Police Chief has applied for a grant for a new radio for Tahoe. Police Chief would like to meet with Treasurer and CPA to work on his funds/budget figures.
Discussed Leaf pick up and chain of command with emptying the bins and calling for pick up. Village employee must call for pick up, not Schnell’s.
Motion by Wolford, support by Birchmeier to appoint Mike Milks to DDA vacancy left from Kayla McCormick’s resignation, roll call vote, 1 no vote, Gauthier, rest yeas motion carried.
Motion by Wolford, support by Olk to have our December meeting be a public hearing for Street renaming, Letters will be sent to all homeowners involved,motion carried.
Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Olk to approve Fireworks for the Holly Jolly Eve on December 5th, motion carried.
Motion by Maksimchuk, support by Birchmeier to close streets for Holly Jolly Eve on December 5th, Genesee Street to Northwood and Orchard to Genesee, motion carried.
Motion by Wolford, support by Birchmeier to allow the school to use the Village meeting room in an emergency/crisis situation, motion carried.
Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to approve the sign quote for Village Office of $700.00, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
Received a letter from Jody Greenwood, owner of Hair Zone requesting a ramp or slope for her handicapped customers to get up over curb. Street commissioner and DPW supervisor are trying to come up with a solution.
Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
