July DDA 2025 Minutes

NEW LOTHROP DDA MEETING MINUTES 

                              JULY 16, 2025

 Present:  Pete Stewart, Mark Birchmeier, Kayla McCormic, Taylor Copes, Cindy Kinsey, Skip McCormic, Andrew Wolford, Jody Greenwood      Absent: Tammy Schiefer, John Ryan (attorney)

Meeting started: 6:30 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

Mark made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for June. Second by Pete. All ayes, motion carried.

Pete made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report for May & June. Second by Cindy. All ayes, motion carried. 

Special Guests:  None   

Old Business:  Flowers in town: 34 flower baskets @ $100 per basket. Pete will bring invoice next month. Trying to find a better deal for next year. The two new signs entering town on Easton Rd/Main St look good, missing wrestling team and checking to see if they can add it. Benches in the park need work. Mark had material to cover them, however, Kayla thinks it will be too hot, going to check with Eric Shnell for a price on cement benches. Taylor has all of the ordinances updated.  People can pay the water bills on the village website.

New Business:  2 estimates for sidewalks on Northwood, between Butternut and Maple. Mark made a motion to pay up to $9500 to Gross Construction for the sidewalk project on Northwood. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried. Main Street Paving was stopped Schnell’s Services, and was supposed to go east of toen out to the village limit sign. Checking to see if they will come back and do it or take $14,000 off the bill. We have the estimate for that area.

Jody made a motion to pay the invoices. Second by Mark. All ayes, motion carried.
