April 2026 DDA Minutes

NEW LOTHROP DDA MEETING MINUTES

                                APRIL 15, 2026

Present: Pete Stewart, Mark Birchmeier, Tammy Schiefer, Taylor Copes, Cindy Kinsey, Jody Greenwood, Mike Milks, John Maksimchuk, John Ryan-Attorney            Absent: Skip McCormic

Meeting called to order: 6:50 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

Pete made a motion to approve the March Meeting Minutes. Second by Mike. All Ayes, motion carried.

Mike made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report for March. Second by Cindy All Ayes, motion carried. 

Special Guests: None  

Old Business: Did Chief Bierlein get paid for new vest for NLPD. John had a quote for $5,400 for handicap ramp to be put in by Petersons Shop. Cindy mentioned a reminder of the ad in the paper for the Garage Sales on May 14, 15, and 16,  

New Business: Shut down Saginaw St on Sunday, April 26 for the 5k Rally Around Drake. Hazelton Township Fire Dept will be having their 75th Anniversary on May 31st from 1-4. Sidewalk Project to start within the next 2 weeks on Main St between Six Ts and Northwood. Tammy mentioned the CDs will mature in May. Pete made a motion to renew the CDs for 9 Months. Second by Mark. All Ayes, motion carried.

Jody made a motion to pay the invoices. Second by Tammy. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried. 

Round Table: Mike brought up that April is National Child Abuse month and suggested that maybe we could do something for next year.
