NEW LOTHROP DDA MEETING MINUTES

                                MAY 20, 2026

Present: Pete Stewart, Mark Birchmeier, Tammy Schiefer, Taylor Copes, Skip McCormic, Jody Greenwood, Mike Milks, John Maksimchuk, John Ryan-Attorney            Absent: Cindy Kinsey

Meeting called to order: 6:45 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

Pete made a motion to approve the April Meeting Minutes. Second by Jody. All Ayes, motion carried.

Tammy made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report for April. Second by Mike. All Ayes, motion carried. 

Special Guests: None  ,

Old Business: Garage Sales in New Lothrop was a big success. John is working on getting the handicap ramp completed in town. With weather getting warmer, planning to get the flowers hung in town for the Memorial holiday weekend. The CDs were renewed for 9 months, maturing on 2/15/2027.   

New Business: Taylor mentioned that Wes Peterman asked if we could put his link on the NL DDA website for his non-profit business, Shiawassee Recycling to get the information out to the area.

Skip made a motion to pay the invoices. Second by Mike. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried. 

Round Table: Mark suggested that we should honor Dave Schnell for all his time and dedication that he contributed to the NL DDA. Plaque with his name on it in the pavilion or something similar.                              Mike suggested an idea to have something in the pavilion to keep some games for people and families to use while visiting the park or pavilion during the summertime.
