June DDA 2025 Minutes

 NEW LOTHROP DDA MEETING MINUTES 

                              JUNE 18, 2025

Present:  Pete Stewart, Mark Birchmeier, Kayla McCormic, Tammy Schiefer, Taylor Copes, Cindy Kinsey, Skip McCormic, Andrew Wolford, Jody Greenwood    Absent: None

Meeting started: 6:30 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

Kayla made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for May. Second by Cindy. All ayes, motion carried.

No Treasurer’s report for May. The report will be reviewed at the next meeting. 

Special Guests:  Stan Birchmeier – Stan asked if the DDA could fund the money for new benches in the park. Research ideas and get quotes.   

Old Business:  Basketball Court Project: Kayla made a motion to amend the motion for the Basketball Court from July 18, 2024 meeting of $65,000 to $103,000 to also have the basketball court fenced in. Second by Skip. Discussion that it would need to be maintained, mowed. Insurance would be $370/year. Row call vote: Skip-yes, Kayla-yes, Cindy-yes, Tammy-yes, Jody-no, Mark-no, Andy-no, Taylor-no, Pete-no. 4-yes, 5-no. Motioned failed. 

Status on the two new signs entering town on Easton Rd/Main St – Kayla mentioned that the signs will be updated with the school championshions. Tammy said the 3 certificates at Choice One Bank for the DDA were renewed for 180 days. Taylor asking about the project he is doing for the ordinances on the website. Big project with over 200 pages and it will take time to get the files cleaned up. Flowers are up and look nice.

Pete made a motion to pay the invoices. Second by Skip. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried.
