Village February 2021 Minutes

February 10, 2021

Present: Maksimchuk’s, Tate, L. Olk, Birchmeier, Besaw (absent) Gauthier, Ustishen, Seamon (via telephone)

Mayor John Maksimchuk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Motion by Gauthier ,Support by Ustishen                        To accept the minutes, motion carried.   Motion by L. Olk, Support by   Ustishen , to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Opened public hearing for Truth In Taxation at 7:02p.m., closed hearing at 7:03p.m.  Opened public hearing for budgets at 7:04p.m. Closed public hearing at 7:05p.m.

Holly Bishop explained credit card payment process for possibly water bills and tax payments.

Police, DPW and Zoning reports are on file.

Police Chief Allen announced his retirement after 27 years with our department effective after March Village Council meeting.

Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to set the Village Millage at 11 mills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Gauthier, support by Olk to approve the budgets for 2021-2022 budget year, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Olk, support by Birchmeier to adopt  the Ordinance 125, to prohibit dogs at large, roll call vote, 1 nay vote, Gauthier, rest yeas, motion carried.

Question on Village water bills, will check with CPA.

Discussed truck leasing program.

Motion to pay all the bills by Olk, support Seamon, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
