May Village 2024 Minutes

May 8, 2024

Present:  Gauthier, Birchmeier, Olk, Seamon, Ustishen McCormic

Absent:  Mills, Maksimchuk

Mayor McCormic called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m.  Motion by Seamon, support by Olk to accept the minutes, motion carried.  Motion by Seamon, support by Olk, to accept Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Public Comments, Dave Schnell informed Council Business owners were upset that they were not notified about Sidewalk repairs.  The Welcome to New Lothrop Signs have been fixed.

Andy Wolford was present to address council about the cars speeding past his house on New Lothrop Road.  Would like a speed limit sign placed like the ones coming into town, West and East.

DPW, Police and Zoning reports on file.

The Village has been awarded a $270,000.00 grant to identify lead water lines, money is to be spent by 2026.  The Village is applying for a street grant for Main Street and Saginaw Street.

Motion by Mccormic, support by Birchmeier to spend up to $3,500.00 for another speed limit sign to be installed on New Lothrop Road/Saginaw street, roll call vote, 1 no vote, Seamon, rest yeas, motion carried.

Motion by Olk, support by Gauithier to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.

Declared meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
