DDA September 2023 Minutes

September 21, 2023 – DDA Minutes New Lothrop

Members present: Pete Stewart, Dave Schnell, Mark Birchmeier, Tammy Schiefer, Cindy Kinsey, Charles (Skip) McCormic    Absent: Kayla McCormic, Zach Besaw                                                                         Meeting started at 6:49 pm 

1. Dave made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for July. Second by Mark. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried.  
2. No Treasurer’s report. The treasurer is absent.
3. Special Guest & Comments:  John Birchmeier – Talked about Twin Township Ambulance: Asking DDA for donation and support for TTA. John will get more information and bring it to the next meeting. Cemetery Barn: need overhead door, siding, would this be covered under the Revitalization Grant. Get 2 bids and submit them at the next meeting. 
4. Old Business:  Taylor Copes is the new DDA board member. DPW needs to replace the fence. Dave made a motion to pay up to $3000 to replace the fence for the DPW.  Row call vote. Dave-yes, Mark-yes, Tammy-yes, Cindy-yes, Skip-yes, Pete-no. Majority, motion carried.    
5. New Business:  Revitalization Grants: Dave made a motion to approve the grant for Fit Physique, for the updates to the sign on the building.  Second by Cindy. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried.  Mark made a motion to approve the grant for New Lothrop Insurance for the sign. Second by Dave. Row call vote, unanimous, motion carried.   Skip made a motion to pay invoices. Second by Skip. Row call vote, Dave sustained, unanimous, motion carried.                                              
6. Round table discussion: Cindy mentioned the Holly Jolly Eve is December 1^st. Looking for volunteers.                                                                                                                                           Meeting adjourned at 7:49 pm
