September 2026 Village Minutes

September 9, 2026

Present:  Maksimchuk’s, Birchmeier, Gauthier, Ustishen, Olk, Besaw

Meeting called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem, John Maksimchuk at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Motion by Gauthier, support by Birchmeier, to accept the minutes, motion carried.  Motion by Ustishen, support by Olk to accept the Treasurer’s report, motion carried.

Public Comments

Superintendent, Jay Larner was present to address council in regards to community conversations regarding a Bond proposal.

Mike Milks from DDA was present to address council in regards to a Game Center bin to be placed in Confer Park.

Motion by Birchmeier, support by Besaw to allow DDA to place a game bin in pavilion at Confer park, motion carried.   DDA will check on game bin and replace games as needed.  Motion by Birchmeier, support by Olk to allow DDA to purchase a memorial plaque in memory of Dave Schnell, motion carried.

Police, DPW and Zoning Reports are on file

Commissioners will work on contract for full time employee, Andrew Hobson.

Possible sidewalk projects were discussed for sidewalk repairs, Street Commissioner and DPW will look at possible sidewalks.

Millings, hang on to them, we are not selling any at this time.

Insurance renewal, passed information out for review and recommendations will be made at next meeting.

Motion by Olk, support by Ustishen to pay all the bills, roll call vote, all yeas, motion carried.
